Bridging the Gap

The Orange County Homeland Security Advisory Council (OCHSAC) is a public good not-for-profit organization created to improve homeland security in Orange County through public private partnership.  OCHSAC tightly links businesses and other private sector leaders with the Orange County Sherriff. OCHSAC is built to ensure that preventative Executive actions are taken in preparing and defending Orange County and recovering from terrorism and other major disasters. OCHSAC has two distinct mission objectives which are to:

  • recruit, educate and partner with private sector executive leadership in preventing and/or limiting the impacts of attacks on our infrastructure, businesses and citizens and;
  • to activate and support the critical leadership communications and coordination of response and recovery that will be needed in the event of a major terrorist incident or other critical disaster.
